Disturbing & Spellbinding
After reading this book I still don't know how I feel about Snowden. He is portrayed here as a man of uncommon integrity who faced a difficult moral dilemma. Is he a hero or a criminal? I'll leave that to the reader to decide but this is an important subject that everyone should give thoughtful consideration to.
How much privacy are you comfortable seeding to you government? How much confidence do you have that the powerful people of our society will use the vast amount of information that's been and continues to be collected on ordinary citizens responsible?
I warn you, this book is hard to put down and more than a little disturbing but, I think it should be required reading for everyone.
This is one of my favorite book so far. Great sequence of the process. I recommend to anyone.
This is an amazing book. I think that Mr. Greenwald made his point by confronting the system. There are a of information that you will need to process to undertand the writting, but when you are engaged, you will see how fantastic it is. I wish it could be in Spanish so then I can recomend it as must -read-book to my students in Communication. Other than that, great book.

This is a book that every American citizen needs to read.
The first two thirds of this book are good entertaining reading. The last third is a billion analysis of the current state of political and media affairs in the USA and the world.
I would strongly suggest anyone who consumes mass media or who follows politics read this book.
It will greatly enlighten your understanding of the information you are receiving.
Bravo to Glenn Greenwald, and Laura and Snowden. These people put their lives on the line, literally and continually, for all of our better interests. Liberty takes many forms. Let us not debase ourselves by thinking these people are any less patriotic than anyone else.
This book needed to be published, and you need to buy it and read it.
Snowden is f'real?
The first part of the book, the personal story with the step-by-step, tenous personal interactions, is worth the price of the book. It is here that Greenwald's writing shines brightest. The rest of the book, the important part, the meat of it, the game-changing revelations of governmental arrogant over-reach, is less personal and less engaging (for my feeble Snowden-obsessed mind). After the book was published, Frontline aired a program that rounded out the back story and may have made it less likely that Greenwald will be prosecuted by the same cold, arrogant, overreaching suits. Truly a bold and heroic tale by our best defender.
I was never much of a reader but this book is a must read. It is very interesting and exciting! Every American should read this and find out what the government is doing to the people of the us and the world. Best book I have ever read!
